Quick Refill Guide For Liquid or Water Soluble Fertilisers Keep
Step 1. Turn off water by closing the shut-off valves that feed in and out of the proportioning cap.
Step 2 – Relieve tank pressure by opening the fill valve.
Step 3 – Drain tank- Drain the tank by opening the bottom drain valve at the bottom of the tank.
Step 4 – Close the bottom drain valve.
Step 5 – Fill the tank with fertilizer.
If you have the high capacity funnel fill system:
- Insert the funnel in the fill valve.
- Disconnect one shut off valve from the tank cap and connect it to the funnel.
- Open the valve to start water flow into the funnel.
- Pour in fertiliser until the tank is full.
If you have the standard capacity funnel fill system:
- Insert the funnel in the fill valve.
- Disconnect one shut off valve from the tank cap and use it to add water to the fertilizer as you pour the fertilizer into the tank.
- Pour in fertiliser until the tank is full.
Caution:
Air in unit may cause serious damage. Do not disable automatic air vent.
Step 6 – After filling
- Remove the funnel and close the fill and drain valves.
- Purge air from connection lines by opening water in shut off valve until all air is exhausted through the fertilizer outside of the cap.
- Connect both shut-off valves to the tank cap and turn them to the on position.
Feed Rate Adjustment Instructions For Grower and Greenwall Applications
Step 1. Turn on an irrigation zone and slowly close the ball valve coupling connector, if necessary, to establish consistent flow.
Step 2. Take a water sample from a downstream hose end (drip emitter or sprinkler) and test its electrical conductivity (EC).
Step 3. Compare the EC meter reading to the desired PPM from the manufacturer’s conductivity standard and turn the feed rate adjustment knob until the proper PPM is achieved.
3. Adjust feed rate knob
Once the system is initially calibrated for a given formulation, it is not likely that further adjustments will be required to maintain the desired PPM.
